The Project

DMS was hired for this project by Parkeray who specialise in office fit outs and refurbishments for commercial property interiors. It took place at 200 Hammersmith Road in London’s W6 area. The property comprises of several floors of offices with the entire building covering around 68,000 square feet. Our team were asked to perform a full strip-out service within the property, taking four weeks in total.

To ensure the project remained on schedule, our experienced team methodically planned each part of the strip out. This involved working from the top down, starting with the ceiling, wall partitions and M&E removals.

We then moved onto the flooring (including carpets and tiles), toilets, lift lobby, raised floors and any M&E beneath the floor, to name just a few of the tasks we undertook to ensure this commercial property was ready for the fit out.

While strip outs create a lot of waste, we carefully segregated all recyclable materials into categories while onsite, including wood, plasterboard, glass, M&E items and metal. Throughout the project, we transferred the waste in bins down to our own fleet of tippers and cage lorries. From here, we transported it to an approved waste transfer facility where as much of it gets recycled as possible.

While working efficiently, health and safety are always at the forefront of any project we undertake. During this strip out, our team wore the correct PPE equipment, including the right glasses and gloves for dismantling areas such as tiles. An SSSTS trained supervisor acted as a foreman onsite to oversee the job.

Yes – the strip out was completed within the four-week time frame, allowing Parkeray to move onto the next phase of their fit-out project. Another team success!
